Camden County woman dies Saturday when her car veers off road, police say

A 45-year-old Camden County woman was killed Saturday afternoon when her car veered off the Black Horse Pike, struck a sign support and a tree and caught fire, police said.
Joanne Gilkey of Bellmawr was driving her Toyota northbound in Gloucester Township, also in Camden County, when the car left the road at 1:24 p.m., State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan stated in an email.
The accident occurred in the area of mile post 8 on a stretch of the Black Horse Pike also known as State Highway 42.
