Feb. 24, 1910
Pauls Valley
Enterprise and Valley News
sheds some light:
Mr. J. R. McChesney owner of the Gainesville Bit & Spur factory and who also runs a machine shop in
connection with the business was induced to come here last week by Mr. W. H. O'Berne of the Power
Company and look over the city with a view to moving his factory here. The only inducement offered was
that of cheap power and good railroad facilities. Mr. McChesney was favorably impressed and made a
proposition to the Ten Thousand Club that if he could be furnished a building site and the freight paid on his factory from Gainesville he would move the entire
plant...”
These three circa 1912 cards are in fair to good condition with the only notable flaw being a vertical crease near the card center of all 3 cards.
