Maker
: This lovely floral mini cream and sugar set is marked with the green backstamp of Hammersley & Co, the iconic Stoke-on-Trent, England, china factory.
Hammersley began production in 1932. In 1976 it merged with Royal Worcester, and the Hammersley brand was retired in 1982.
Design
: The pretty and finely detailed pattern - number 6042 - features beautifully hand painted bursts of flowers against a pure white bone china background trimmed in gold.
Size
: The creamer is 4 3/4 inches wide between the tip of the spout and the far end of the handle and 1 3/4 inches wide. The sugar bowl is 4 inches long and 1 7/8 inches tall. Together the pieces weigh 6.9 ounces.
Condition
: There are no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, marks, stains or repairs. There is light crazing throughout, as is typical in this pattern, and a small dark spot on one end of the sugar bowl; these are shown in the photos.
