I am pleased to offer a vintage bone china teacup and saucer made by Hammersley & Co.
Unusual OORP (Order of the Royal Purple) design
Features cheery purple and yellow pansies
The Order of Royal Purple was founded in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada in September 1914 and was the recognized female auxiliary of the Elks of Canada.
Likely dates from the 1940-50s
A very unusual large open bowl shape with pronounced rim and small base
Beautiful gold gilding
In perfect condition with  no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, other damage or restoration - both cup and saucer do pass the ping test for bone china
Very bright, unfaded handpainting details and glossy glaze
No  wear to  gold gilding
It does not appear to have seen much use
Cup is 4 3/4" across including handle and is 2 1/2" tall at sides; saucer is 5 5/8" across
Guaranteed to be VINTAGE and not reproduction or re-issued
Please ignore all white spots on photos caused by camera flash
This wonderful set would make a great addition to complete your Hammersley collection or a great gift
