    VINTAGE HAMMERSLEY & CO. ~ GRANDMOTHER’S ROSE ~ MINI CREAMER & OPEN SUGAR BOWL
    DESCRIPTION
    – Mini creamer & open sugar bowl are scalloped embossed bone china.  Pattern is Grandmother’s Rose.  Possible MPN is 4144M.  Motif is shades of pink rose buds, shades of green foliage, pale gray foliage in the background, embossed scrolls & heavy gold trim.  Motif on inside rim of open sugar bowl.
    DIMENSIONS
    –
    Creamer is approximately 3 ¼” tall at spout, 1 ¾” rim diameter, 3 ¼” from spout to handle.  Sugar bowl is approximately 2” tall, 3” rim diameter.
    CONDITION
    –
    Creamer & sugar bowl previously owned with no obvious crazing, cracks, or chips.  Gold trim slightly worn.
    BRAND
    – Hammersley & Co. pattern Grandmother’s Rose is discontinued, possibly 1960’s.  Variations of Hammersley’s acorn backstamp first issued in 1939.  Spode purchased Hammersley in 1966.  Spode then joined Royal Worcester in 1976 & Hammersley ceased in 1988.  Hammersley trade name was sold the Aynsley China in 1989.  The mini creamer & open sugar bowl made in England.
